"..and the day came when the risk it took to remain tight inside the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
– A.N

"There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I’ve loved them all."
– The Beatles

Cancer - the daily horoscope 4.26.12

People always talk about “building a better mousetrap.” That may be the sort of idea you have right now about doing something differently in your life, or changing some aspect of your life. But the fact is that what you already have or what you are already doing is working for you. Although you may be bored in some way, changing something that’s working isn’t the answer. If some aspect of your life has become stale and unsatisfying, then maybe it’s time to dig deeper into some talent or desire that you have been neglecting instead.

Shed some skin

I’ve spent much of my time in the past few years with feelings of guilt, worry and stress - mostly over things I had zero control over. I questioned many things always leaving myself feeling unsatisfied. The other day I had gotten caught up in negative feelings over something for no reason. It kind of shocked me - the only thing between me and my happiness was my mind. I believe now more than ever that you will end up where you are supposed to be. There is no sense in stressing and worrying about the what ifs or what could have beens. The mind is capable of amazing things.

Count your blessings, live in the moment and embrace the power of your mind.

"It is the function of art to renew our perception. What we are familiar with we cease to see."
– Anais Nin

When you look in the mirror
do you see visions of your past
I ain’t got time for halfway
I ain’t got time for halfassed
when I look in the mirror
I see my days to come
and my face is just a trace
of where I’m coming from.

"You kill death every day that you live. And I do my best to murder hate whenever I have the chance to love."

Habits Aren’t Destiny

theemotionmachine:

“Habits aren’t destiny — they can be ignored, changed or replaced. But it’s also true that once the loop is established and a habit emerges, your brain stops fully participating in decision-making. So unless you deliberately fight a habit — unless you find new cues and rewards — the old pattern will unfold automatically.”
